Before: 1970's whatchamacallit
After: Colonial stenciled candle board / box.
Black with hues of red.
Mr. H cut the bottom part off for me, then I sanded it, painted it, stenciled then sanded again.
I used a pencil marked strip of wood as a template for the nail holes;
then I topped it off with Clair de Lune candles.
Now all I need is something to put in the box part. Any suggestions?
*Blessings*

Not sure what to suggest to put in it, but I like how the do over came out, esp. the color. Blessings of the holiday!
That's AWESOME! Love the stenciling. (What the heck do you suppose it was in its prior life???!) Yikes. Smiles & Hugs, Robin
@The CrankyCrow - well, my husband said it was for letters, I think maybe a pipe box? It was UUUUGly!LOL but I saw the shape and looked past the ugliness...oh, I am so happy with how it turned out. Sometimes some of my projects like this don't turn out, but when it turns out,..woohoo!!!!

Some old long pipes would look great in this box...or maybe some old corn cob ones? Love your blog so much I added it to mine!
