-Plastic fake fruit. Colour is unimportant. (Grapes might be a little too tedious.) For this tutorial, I used pears.
-You need an ice cube tray (to stand them up while drying)
-Black acrylic craft paint, one brush;
-Modge Podge; another brush; and a bit of water (if your modge podge is too thick)
-Spices. Cinnamon and cloves. I used only cinnamon, as I am sensitive to the smell of cloves. Another brush to apply the spices;
-Something to display them in: an olde crate, a pewter fruit bowl... etc.
-Paint the fruit with black acrylic paint. Let dry.
-Then, paint the fruit with a thin coat of modge podge.
-Quickly, while the glue is still very wet, coat with spice mixture.I dashed it on with a brush.
Let some of the black show through. So, cover about 75% of the surface with spices.
-wash your brushes quickly before the modge podge dries on them.
These smell soooo good, and look very grungy and prim!
