TLC- recovery~

So now that the storm has passed, I took a look at myself in the mirror, and said, "(GASP) good God. You need TLC WOMAN! URGENTLY" LOL
So I went shopping, and went to the beauty salon!
I bought NEW, TOP OF THE LINE BRAS. Do I hear an AMEN? LOL. C'mon. Admit it! LOL, I know I wear mine until they're finished.  I also bought a new lipstick, and then spent 2 1/2 glorious hours at the salon, and I got my colour done! I haven't changed my colour since I was 16. I love it!!! I got my hair dyed, washed, deep conditioned, cut, blowdry, flat ironed and set. WOOHOO! I FLOATED outta there!
hee hee

I have even dropped a couple of pounds. Bought myself a jean MINI skirt LOL (conservative however)
I haven't worn one in YEARS heehee
Did my nails.

I feel like Pamela again.
I am hereby PROMISING-(and you are my witness.) TO NEVER NEGLECT MYSELF LIKE THAT AGAIN. No matter what the stress, I will hereby take time to care for myself, treat and pamper myself, beautify myself, and listen to what I need. Lord knows I care for my children and my husband. But, I hereby REINSTATE myself onto that list. I will be good to myself, gentle with myself, forgiving of myself. Show love for myself-everyday-in some way or the other. I will also only accept the same loving behavior from others.
YAYE!   xoxo

Hey beautiful, good for YOU!!! We all do it. We all put ourselves at the end of the list taking care of hubby and the kids. "Me" time never seems to come. With 3 kids at home, I am constantly at the bottom of that list. Sometimes the list will rotate around again, somehow skipping me. But I will be so busy tending to everyone else that I don't realize how many times I get skipped. It's a vicious cycle and very easy for me to get trapped in it! Good for you in taking time for you, sounds like a heavenly day! =] You look great!!

You look so young! You go girl. I let myself go too and turn into a YETI sometimes. The storms will come and go and we will drag our worm-holed peg-legs and pirate breath through the rage and emerge sirens! You are beautiful, have a creative, joyful week! ~*~Lisa

Good for you! I need to do the same thing. Always caring, tending, and spending on family but you have reminded me that I am part of that equation too!

Thanks,
Connie

Isn't it funny how life goes by and then you stop to look at yourself and wonder when in the world you started to look so.....not like yourself. Godd job for picking it up and taking care of yourself again. Your whole family will benefit from it. I think your photo is lovely.

Hi! Pam,

Sooooo pleased to hear you took some "me time". You look fabulous my dear. Very nice color & you're smile says it all in the photo :o)

I bet you felt like a million dollars lol I think most wives & moms place everyone else's needs before their own. So, we need to just stop & take some quality time for pampering. Bonne job! Enjoy!

Thanks! for sharing such a lovely post.

Have a sunny week!

Blessings & Hugs,
Marlene

Good for you! A lot of moms, like me tend to forget about ourselves when it comes to our family and all that is going on around us. I admit, I wear my bras until they can't hold anything up. :)

Gorgeous!! You lucky thing! I would love a day of beauty---it's been a very long time. With the economy and job loss, it has been years since I could do this...I am enjoying living vicariously through your lovely day experience!
Kind regards,
Mary

Good to read that you are feeling better. I don't understand why we, as women, do not hesitate to take care of everyone else, but find it difficult to tend to ourselves. You look lovely! Hugs, Julie.

Good Morning Friend
For some reason I wasnt able to comment the day you posted this but I just wanted to tell you. You look beautiful.
Nothing like a new haircut and color to give you a kick in your step. You truly look younger.
Good for you.
Hugs

You, my friend, are positively Loverly!!! (And, hey - I think I see a resemblance in thoese toesies...) ;o) Seriously, I don't know why it is so hard for some of us women to take care of "us" when we know full well (at least on some level) that the more "whole" and healthy WE are, the better we are for those we care for..... Glad you've found the secret....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
