Hi! Well, I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this one! LOL
I have decided to start a giant spot-motif sampler! It measures almost 2 feet by 2 feet, and I plan on filling it up entirely~ I will keep you posted now and then, with how it is going! It will be comprised of many different patterns, from many designers, including myself. I am stitching single thread, on 24 ct. hemp linen.
Here is how it looks after 2 days!

Oh I cant wait to see it when it is finished :)
Hi Pamela,
This is going to be so beautiful when you finish! Can't wait to see it's progress! I have a piece of fabric just like that...not sure I'm as daring! But at least I know what I could use it for..
Many Blessings! :)
I can't wait to see it all finished up, either!! I'm sure it will be wonderful..... You are off to a great start!
I am working on a series of samplers paying homage to my elementary school teachers where I am using the same technique as you..... just taking a bits and pieces of different samplers to make bigger ones, and adding the teacher's names and the dates I was in their class...minus a 100 years to make it look older. It's been fun, but daunting at the same time. Let's just say I've had to pull quite a few stitches out!!
Good luck to you!!
Oh wow...Can't wait to see how it turns out! =) Have fun!
